Singapore opens mega-port storage early to ease container bottlenecks

We have all heard that New Zealand import and export shipments are now being delayed due to continued, extraordinary congestion at trans-shipment ports in Singapore and Malaysia. To help solve this issue, Singapore has announced that they are opening part of their new mega-port early. Singapore will have an annual capacity of 65m teu, compared with the current 50m teu once this development is fully operational in 2040.
